I love being a teacher and enjoy seeing my students be successful in their education, as well as in all areas of their lives. I am a certified K-6 elementary school teacher licensed by the state of Texas and have taught all elementary subjects for the last six years and would be happy to work with children of any age in elementary school!

I am passionate about instilling a love of learning in my students. I work hard to make lessons as engaging and interesting as possible so that children will look forward to learning each day and become life-long learners in the future!

Phonics

Most of the population at the school where I have taught for the past 5 years were Hispanic. Since English was not their first language, we worked on their phonics skills quite often in the classroom.

Study Skills

As a licensed, certified teacher who has taught 5th grade in Texas for the last 5 years, study skills are an essential part of teaching to prepare students for the high-stakes tests that come at the end of that school year.

I have taught social studies in my fifth grade class for the last 5 years.
