I have tutored many students for over 14 years. I have tutored at high school, elementary school and college levels, for both pay and as a volunteer. I love working with high school students, especially in preparing them for AP tests and the ACT or SAT tests.

I have an undergraduate degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry and an MBA from Southern Methodist University. My day job is in data science and strategy.

As a side note: Previously, I worked for an accredited 4 year University in admissions, which gave me a unique perspective on what colleges are looking for in a prospective student.

Algebra 2

Algebra was a difficult subject for me (at first) when I was in high school. I discovered quickly, that this is because I am a visual learner and, in my experience, most high school algebra classes involved a lot of listening. X, Y, Z...

Once I learned how to learn it visually, it became so much easier!

Wonder if you learn another way? Ask yourself, Does the teacher mostly teach with their back to you, writing on the board or screen and talking, a lot? Perhaps you don't learn best by hearing either.

Don't be discouraged by algebra, just know that if you are educated in it the way you learn best, then it will be much easier! So many people think math is just, "too hard" and they can't do it. I can show you it isn't and you can!

I majored in Biology for my undergraduate Degree. In high school, I took AP Biology and scored a 5, the highest score possible. I love helping others understand this fascinating subject!
