As a Biochemistry graduate from the University of Texas at Austin, I am extremely enthusiastic and proficient about both biology and chemistry. My knowledge about these subjects is supplemented by my ability to communicate coherently and clearly. I thrive on the challenge of making complex subjects accessible and easy to understand. It is my belief that any science can be understood with ease if the material is presented in an organized manner. My goal is to translate the jargon into something relatable, so that the student is focused on understanding core concepts instead of simply memorizing definitions. If the core concepts can be mastered, then the rest follows naturally.
I hope to one day teach medical students, so that I can pass on the knowledge on modern medicine. Biology and chemistry have always been my bread and butter, and I find those subjects immensely fascinating because of their relevance to everyday life. Almost every single facet of our daily schedule is influenced by biological processes, and even more fundamentally, chemical processes. By understanding both of these, we are able to further understand how atoms interact to form molecules, how molecules interact to form cells, which interact to form organisms.
I specialize in tutoring biochemistry and organic chemistry, however I am also available to teach general biology and general chemistry. I have experience as a teaching assistant in both organic chemistry and general biology, and I already have pre-existing lesson plans for both of those subjects. My belief is that homework should target the important concepts in a challenging yet brief format. Busy work not only fails to motivate the student, but it also fails to solidify the foundations learned during the lessons.
I have a flexible schedule, with an 8-hour cancellation window. Tutoring can be done at any location to your convenience in the North Dallas metroplex. Libraries or coffee shops are often conducive to a learning environment, though I leave that up to your discretion.
I look forward helping you achieve your goals!
