After 22 years of teaching in public schools, I always answer the typical teacher's question differently from my peers. When someone asks "What do you teach?" I always say, "Kids. I teach kids."
The subjects I was assigned in public schools were: English (9-12), English Pre -AP, Reading, Government, History, Journalism, Newspaper, Photojournalism, and Yearbook.
