I am currently a certified teacher for the State of Texas. I multi-certified: Generalist EC-6, English, Language Arts and Reading 4-8 and a Special Education EC-12.

I have taught both General Education and Special Education. Currently, I am a 5th grade Reading and History Teacher. I love teaching!

In the years that I have taught, I have had great success in both general education and special education -- all my students raised their reading grade by at least one level and passed to the next grade level!

Two years in a row, (2010 and 2011), I taught summer school, with great success! My students succeeded and passed the 5th grade Math and Reading TAKS test; they graduated to the next grade level with increased skills and confidence in being able to succeed.

In my Special Education teaching, I use the Project Read Curriculum for Resource work. In the General Education Classroom, I use the Wilson Reading Program and Foundations to build a solid phonics background.

Study Skills

I am a State of Texas certified teacher. My content areas are EC-4 Generalist and EC-12 Special Education. I have taught 5th grade summer school two years in a row (2010 and 2011), and have over a 90% passing rate for students passing the State test (this is based on students taking the 3rd and final TAKS administration). I have clear, concise and effective study skills to help our students succeed.

Special Needs

I am a State of Texas certified Special Education Teacher grades EC-12. I have taught students who have learning disabilities, cognitive disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Behavior Disorders. Every student has the ability to learn. As educators, we have the responsibility to meet them where they are at and help them succeed!

Autism

I am a State of Texas certified Special Education Teacher. I currently serve students who are diagnosed with Autism, Cognitive Disabilities and Learning Disabilities.

TAKS

I am a State of Texas certified teacher grades EC-4 Generalist and EC-12 Special Education. I have taught Summer School 2010 and 2011 with great success. 95% of my 5th grade Math and Reading students passed TAKS and advanced to 6th grade. I have a winning track record for helping students learning strategies and tools to succeed on TAKS, which is now the STAAR test. I know that I can help your student succeed, too!

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
