I received a BS in biological engineering from the University of MO - Columbia and I am currently pursuing a MBA from Keller Graduate School.
I have been tutoring high school students the last three years in math (algebra, geometry, and trigonometry) and physics for national math competitions. Students have also benefited from tutoring on ACT test. Three of my students have scored 30 or above on ACT with a score of 31 in math. All of the graduating seniors have gone on to college with scholarships. My teaching focus is on concepts. If students master the concepts they will be able to think through and answer any question. Many times, students get so concerned with the final answer that they do not learn why or how the answer was derived.
I have also tutored grade school students in math for several years. I tutored students for two years in the Columbia, MO school district. I also volunteer with a professional engineering society, where I meet with students from 6th to 12th grade and teach various engineering and science concepts.
