I was born and raised in Fort Worth and recently moved to Stephenville with my husband. I love animals. I have two cats named Ollie and Balo. In my spare time I enjoy golf, volleyball, jewelry making and kickboxing.
I grew up in Fort Worth and attended Fort Worth Academy until 8th grade and Fort Worth Country Day for high school. Right after high school I attended the University of Texas in Arlington but was unsure of what major to focus on so I decided to work toward my Associate degree at Tarrant County College. While completing my associates I researched majors and universities and found psychology and Tarleton. And I will be graduating with my bachelors degree in psychology from Tarleton in May 2012. I plan on taking the GRE later this year and continue my education in Tarleton's graduate program.
I have tutored on and off for the past ten years. I love tutoring and I have been on both sides of the fence. In high school I was tutored in chemistry and Spanish; I have always tutored math and more recently psychology. I especially like teaching students skills which they will be able to use throughout their academic careers - more specifically test taking, study skills, taking good notes, proofreading, etc. I believe these are most beneficial and the basis for doing well in any subject. I have worked with students age 6 to 38 and we always have fun and learn a lot from each other.
Can't wait to work with you!
