I have a passion for helping people reach their educational and professional goals. I have worked in education for more than 20 years. I was the Project Director for a large tutoring program that focused on increasing students' academic achievement.

I see myself as a student mentor as well as a tutor. I am qualified to teach all subjects in elementary and specialize in the following areas for high school and college students: study skills, writing research reports, scientific writing, statistics for social scientists, biology, psychology, SAT Reading, ESL/ESOL Algebra I and Algebra II. Also, I provide assessments in learning styles and multiple intelligences, which gives parents, teachers, and students insight into students' preferred method/methods to learn.

For Business ESL students, I have a solid understanding of business and prepared lessons to help you further develop you English language skills. I can meet you at or near your office in the morning or at lunch time for your lesson.

I have a diverse educational and professional background. I possess a doctorate degree in educational psychology, a master's degree in counseling, and a bachelor's in psychology with a minor in biology. I have utilized my writing and research skills in disciplines as diverse as education, public health, psychology, emergency medicine, marketing, and communications. I have published research papers in education, psychology, health care, and medical publications. I have extensively used both the American Psychological and American Medical Association styles. As part of my graduate studies, I successfully wrote a doctoral dissertation, doctoral research paper, and master's thesis.

In addition to my writing and research skills, I can offer students techniques to become better organized and to study more effectively for any subject. I find that sometimes students do not complete assignments based on what is specifically required from the teacher, which results in a significantly lower grade. I would be glad to help you become a better student and help you realize your full potential!
