Hello, my name is Neal. I am 26 years old and I am studying German. I will receive my degree in German studies and English in December 2011. I have been learning the German language for 8 years and tutoring it since for four years at Community College and University. I just returned from an 18 month stay in Germany where I studied German studies and business at the University of Lüneburg near Hamburg. During this time I lived with a German speaking family and my German reached a high level of fluency. I also worked with German speaking children at a Summer camp during Summer 2011 where we exclusively spoke German. I also have been told that my accent sounds very authentic, which is not very easy to accomplish as an English native speaker.
German is a very big passion for me and I love studying the language and helping others to learn the language as well. Over the years I have tutored numerous students of all ages, all of whom had different learning styles. I adjust my tutoring style according to the needs and experience of the student. The important thing is that every student finds a method of learning which makes language learning easy and stress free.
Learning a language can be difficult. Sometimes we simply just need help, time, and patience to move forward and advance in our language learning. I hope I can assist German learners in this and instill joy and fun into your German studies. My goal is to make what may have been a burdensome experience a joyful and fun experience for all learners. I am looking forward to working with many students!
