I'm an engineer that has a passion for education. I love the learning process and I love making a good influence in the lives of my students and seeing them succeed.

On a personal level, I am a man of many passions. I am a competitive and social dancer, I love sports and the outdoors, I am a spiritually-based man, and I love engineering. These interests keep me busy and satisfied with life.

I tutored on the college level for about six years, and now I teach high school or the early college. I teach math (up through advanced engineering math), computer skills/programming, physics, and SAT/ACT prep, but I am also a professional dance instructor and was faculty at the University I attended.

I know how to teach to different learning styles, and I know how to make a student engaged and willing to learn. I excel when a student wants to learn material, but can't seem to understand it from another tutor or on their own. I have learned how to create a relationship and atmosphere that enhances the learning process, and I love sharing that with students who benefit from it.

Ballroom Dancing

I have been teaching dance professionally for several years now. I started teaching on an amateur level for local dancing events, and progressed to teach for a dance studio on the northside of San Antonio, and then finally on a university level as adjunct faculty. Swing dancing is my forte, but I am very familiar with all International and American styles, including club Latin dances as well (Salsa, Bachata, etc.).

C++

Initially a CS major in college, I studied C++ extensively. I ended up changing my major to mechanical engineering, but I still use C++ as my main programming language. I can teach the fundamentals of understanding object-oriented programming, and implementation of C++ explicitly. I can also teach microcontroller programming (Arduino) with C++.

Salsa Dancing

I have been teaching dance professionally for several years now. AutoCAD

I am a mechanical engineer by profession, and I have experience using Siemens NX (7,7.5), AutoCAD, and SolidWORKS CAD packages. I also have worked extensively with FEA packages, such as ANSYS (11,12).

Computer Programming

Initially a CS major in college, I studied C++ extensively. I ended up changing my major to mechanical engineering, but I still use C++ as my main programming language. MATLAB

I am a mechanical engineer by profession, and I use MATLAB extensively. I am familiar with programming with MATLAB, as well as basic functionality and advanced engineering applications through MATLAB (CV, etc.).

I am a Mechanical Engineer by profession, with an emphasis in Mechatronics.
