I am a Texas Certified Math Teacher, with experience teaching Algebra 1 and 7th grade math classes. Additionally, I've tutored other students from almost all age levels, ranging from elementary math to College courses. I've also successfully helped students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia and ADD.

I graduated in 2011 from the University of Houston with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. In high school, I enrolled in AP courses, scoring a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam.

I believe that every individual is created to be natural learners, and with clear instruction, any student is able to effectively learn any subject. When tutoring, I enjoy receiving questions from students, so that I can provide instruction according to specific needs. My approach is to teach from the student's perspective, in order for students to gain a personal understanding and enjoyment of the subject.

Please feel free to inform me of topics of study and specific needs so that I can more effectively prepare for each lesson. I have a flexible schedule throughout weekday evenings, therefore I can provide additional tutoring time when more help is needed.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
