I'm currently a student at Texas A&M - Kingsville. I am going in my senior year in pursuit of an undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature, Communications with a concentration in Journalism. I find the English language quite intriguing. Even though it may be our native tongue, there is so much more to it than the basic sounds we make. There's depth and soul into the language. Words are seen differently by each person's interpretation.
That is what I find unique about the liberal arts field; it is clearly subjective. Math and science are basic "yes" and "no" answers; whereas in English classes, it's a "yes" or "no" question preceded by a "why" question.
I'm a scholar student at the university. I'm President - Elect in an international English Honor Society. I know three languages which are French, Spanish, and English. I've worked on several international locations where I've taught English as a second language in Canada, China, and Jamaica. I'm an employed student at the university as a part time English and Spanish writing tutor. I've taught several grade levels, so I can teach from K-12. I'm an award winning journalist as well as creative writer.
I like to make learning a fun environment for both the student and I. I also make myself transparent to the student so that way there's a better understanding and communication that can be breached with the two of us.
