Hello! I am Amanda! I am currently attending Xavier University of Louisiana pursuing a double major. My majors are Psychology and Chemistry. I am a creative and fun, but I am also a diligent and hard worker. I push my students in order for them to reach their full potential. In order to pin point the issue, I conduct a little quiz to see where the issues are stemming from. The quiz also allows me to watch how the student behaves in a test/quiz setting and allows me to see if the problems stem from elements outside of the material. Elements outside the material can range anywhere from rushing through the quiz, test, or homework and/or understanding the material, but not doing the proper preparation. I ask that past test, quizzes, and homework be brought so I can get an overview of where the issues began.
I have had a lot of tutoring experience on various topics. All of my students have done well in the course and still come back when they need help. I create an environment that is conducive for learning. I want the students to be comfortable and open with me. If they do not communicate with me I will not know how to help them. I want the best for each student. When they succeed, I succeed.
