I speak Japanese, Mandarin, and Taiwanese fluently (native level), in addition to English.
My passion for language will never seize, I am currently teaching myself Italian and I've had some French and Spanish under my belt.
I have been tutoring Japanese and Mandarin part-time since 2007. I've taught a student from USC Adv. Japanese, helped him pass his Adv. Japanese II test without ever having to take his classes. I've had one beginner level student who was an optometrist, two more advanced level students who were a banker, and a high school math teacher. Over the years, I have had about 15 students from all walks of life.
I am a certified teacher in TX, and I am qualified to teach Art, Japanese, and Mandarin in high schools. I hope to teach my future students how wonderful it is to be able to speak different languages!
I like teaching, especially when it comes to languages. I've also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Architectural History for 2 years, and I miss giving students test reviews. It makes me feel good that I could be of help in improving their grades!
Please feel free to contact me, I'm pretty laid back.
I prefer meeting at bookstores and coffee shops.
