University of Texas at Dallas (Physics )
Hello, my name is Adam and I am currently a student at UTD. I am double majoring in physics and electrical engineering (I really do love school!). As much as I love to learn, I also like to help people, and I feel that helping my fellow peers with their classes reinforces my understanding of the subject matter. I especially love the theory behind what I learn: I personally feel that the theory (the most general case) is what matters. Naturally, I tend to focus my efforts on the teaching of the theory rather than "plug and chug" (this is how it is at the university level!). When I'm not in school I'm at the gym at UTD, as I am a passionate weight lifter (or as I call it, applied physics). I believe education is bred through the unity of the mind and the body working together to accomplish a goal. I especially love working with students who are motivated and genuinely interested in the subjects that I tutor (probably because I am too). Well, that was a crash course about myself, and I look forward to helping you with your academic needs. Hello, my name is Adam and I am currently a student at UTD. My 9th grade son was way behind in his Engineering Design class, which was heavy in mathematic formulas that he did not understand. After finding Adam on WyzAnt, we contacted him immediately and he met with us the very next day. After just one lesson with Adam, my son fully understood the material and by the end of the school week, was able to complete some make up work, which brought his grade up from a 68 to an 80. Thanks to Adam, my son is now "back on track". I found Adam to be very professional and my son said he was very encouraging and patient (which is what every parent wants to hear). I now have Adam's number stored in my phone and will call him again at the first sign of trouble. If you are looking for a great tutor, look no further.
My 16 year old son was thrilled to have Adam as his tutor. He felt very comfortable around Adam and immediately had a more positive outlook on his Physics studies. Adam made sure my son was prepared for an important test and even met with him briefly the night before to review for the test. He always responded to my correspondences and made every effort to work around my son's schedule.
I would highly recommend Adam and I will definitely call upon his service not only for my son but for my other children as well.
Thank you Adam!!!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
