Students:

My name is Jonathan and I attended school at UTD for Mathematics. I have a unique background in customer relations, sales, and an in-depth knowledge of Mathematics which makes me the perfect solution for explaining information in an easy to understand fashion while making the student feel comfortable and unstressed.

Generally, students have a weekly session that last approximately two hours of which we go over homework and complete any other assignments together. From my experience, as long as the student stays on track and follows my study recommendations, they receive A’s in their course.

I offer tutoring in all levels of mathematics including business/applied calculus for non-science majors. I also offer discounted options for students interested in group sessions. If you have multiple people seeking help in the same course, I have a classroom in my living room (picture is available in profile) which will hold up to 8-students.

Thank you for taking the time to view my profile, I look forward to working with you.

Jonathan T.

Location: I operate out of my home “The Homes of Prairie Springs” in Richards, TX near UTD. I cannot travel due to having back-to-back students which all meet there.

Group Rates: Each additional student is $20/hr e.g. if you and two friends want a group session the cost would be $(60 + 20 + 20) totaling $100 of which can be divided three ways. I do offer additional discounts for bulk commitments.

Jonathan's subjects

Algebra 1

Pre-algebra, Algebra I, and Algebra II are probably the most important math classes one will take. It is essential that one understands at least 90% of the material in these subjects before moving on to Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus... One can get a good grasp of these classes with less understanding; one cannot, however, begin to approach these classes without the proper foundation.

I have been helping students improve their test scores on average 30% for over two years now....

Calculus

I have multiple years experience dealing with Precalculus, Calculus I, Calculus II, advanced Calculus, and applied Calculus. As a physics major Calculus is a foundation of the math involved in advanced Calculus, one cannot properly approach these problems without a clear understanding of the methods of Calculus. If you are in need of understanding or just flying through the classes, I can make it so much simpler for you. I do not over-complicate material like teachers tend to. My motto is "keep...

Trigonometry

Trigonometry next to Algebra, is the next most important subject as a up and coming scientist. If one is going into science related mathematics, it is crucial that they fully understand trigonometry. If one can comprehend the theories in Trig it will make the latter classes, i.e. physics, calculus… so much easier to understand and approach. I have hundreds of hours of working with trigonometric functions and concepts. If this is a subject you seem to be struggling with, I will simplify it for...

Differential Equations

Differential equations is not a difficult class, in fact if one knows how to do Calculus proficiently and understands how to "plug-and-chug" a formula DE is a breeze. I took this class over a 4 week summer course while working full time and passed it with flying colors.

As a tutor this course is the most simple to reiterate to students. I currently am working with a company on applying a transform of a first order Differential Equation with other functions involving the PID method...

Linear Algebra

I have over two years of Linear Algebra experience ranging from business applications, engineering applications, and physics applications, and have created youtube videos geared towards tutoring the subject.

I have helped many students at the University of Dallas take their grades in Linear Algebra from D's, F's and worse to either a passing grade or A's. Linear Algebra is a relatively new subject so many professors just do not have the curriculum down. I have taken many Linear Algebra...
