My name is JJ and I love to help people grasp math. I have a knack for being able to explain mathematical concepts on an individual basis, as everyone understands things differently.

From my experience, students generally do not have difficulty understanding the material, they have difficulty organizing and time managing their schedule in order to maximize studying potential. I show the student how to balance their study habits in a way to increase the absorption of material and to decrease the amount of studying.

Most of my students are Business Calculus I or II students at UTD, DCCCD, Collin County and use the MyMathLab program. A general session usually consists of completing the weeks homework and attaining a full understanding of how to do and approach the problems. About 4 out of 5 of my students have at least a two letter grade improvement assuming the participate and study.

Working with me as your personal tutor, whether you just need to get through a course or really want to understand the subject, is a pleasant experience; I like to laugh yet be serious. I will not belittle you or rush you. I enjoy math very much and helping others understand it is a pleasure in itself.
