I am a graduate from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Literature studies with a teacher certification. Beyond that, my experience with all forms of essay writing such as analysis, comparison and contrast, narrative, and especially argument allow me to give assistance with the most challenging assignments students will face. I can provide instruction from an expert level that students of all levels will find accessible and relevant to their particular needs.
My work with hundreds of students on an individual basis over the past two years has given me extensive experience with the complexities of learning English as a Second Language. I can identify the elements that challenge speakers of languages such as use of articles, the difference between count and non-count nouns, subject/verb agreement, and tense, all of which are concepts that are often unique to speakers of other languages but can be easily overlooked by native English speakers. As a tutor and professor at a very diverse college, I have helped students whose primary languages include Arabic, Vietnamese, Indian, Chinese, Russian, Portuguese, Farsi, and Spanish, as well as many others. My approach to simplifying concepts for all learners has proven results.
I can assist ESL students expertly, and hope to do so for you.
