I would be delighted to help you or your student to improve in their academic achievement in a private, charter, or public school. My 17 years in education, including my recent 7 years teaching at Dallas ISD schools, will help me to aid and tutor your child, or the student needing my tutoring service. I will work hard to ensure the student learns the lesson material or the testing strategies to pass their tests, assessments, or course curriculum with a B or higher. I recently, helped tutor my own nephew from East TX (Nacogdoches, TX) to help pass his Math class at Angelina College, in Lufkin, TX, and he just graduated with honors 2 weeks ago--I really proud of him! If I do my part and the student does his, or her part--study and takes good notes, and apply my suggestions in the tutoring lessons, the student will be successful. May God bless you and I hope I can be a part of your student's success! AR

ADD/ADHD

I work with various levels of special education students since I have been certified for Special Educator since 07/2001. I began working with all levels of at-risk kids since 04/1997 when I worked for the Texas Youth Commission at the Crockett State School. Students with ADD/ADHD seem to be very hyper, but they must be given limits and take their medication so they can learn in a highly structured class. I have worked with these students at Dallas ISD since 8/2006. I will be glad to tutor your special needs student so they can learn at grade level. Sincerely, Abraham R. 7/31/2013

Baseball

I believe I would be a good baseball tutor due to being an Assistant Coach at a Dallas ISD public school. For the past 3 years, I have assisted Head Coach Derrick Ephraim at Sarah Zumwalt Middle School since the Spring 2011 season. We won our District 4, Spring 2012 Championship for the South Oak Cliff area of Dallas, TX middle schools. However, we lost in the city championship to Robert Hill M/S of E Dallas, TX in May 2012. Sincerely, Coach Abraham R.

Basketball

I am a certified teacher & coach via the State Board in TX since 7/2002. I can coach/ teach all level PE from Pre-K to grade 12. Also, I am a member of the DCA-Dallas ISD Coaches Association for the past 3 years. I have taught Health/PE and coached golf, soccer, basketball, and baseball for the Dallas ISD since relocating to Dallas, TX in 8/2006. My first year in Dallas ISD, my 5th-6th grade team went to the playoffs, but we lost in the second round. I'll be glad to coach or assist your student too. Sincerely, Mr/Coach Abraham R. 7/31/2013

I have a earned B.A. in Theology from Mt Beulah Institute & Seminary/ Central Christian University from Lufkin, TX. I graduated in 05/2001 and also, earned a dual major in General Business & Christian Ministries from East TX Baptist University in Marshall, TX. This was from my B.S. degree that I earned when I graduated in 05/1985. I am a licensed and ordained minister & chaplain where I served the Lord via Marketplace Ministries, Inc of Dallas TX since 07/1995. I also served as a Chaplain for Hospice in the Pines in Lufkin, TX in 1996 for 1 year. My wife & I are dedicated and loyal Christians today in Glenn Height, TX.

Then I worked for 2 years at the Kennard ISD with Adaptive Behavior students in the elementary from 8/2003- 5/2005. Finally, I've done Special Ed for Dallas ISD via Math Inclusion from 8/2006 to 6/2013 for 6th to 7th students. All students can learn if taught with differentiated instruction/accommodations and modifications to help them.

Golf

I have worked with a local youth development golf club in Dallas, TX for the passed 3-4 years at a local middle school. I have enrolled students to go to the annual PGA event at Las Calinas, TX for the HP Byron Nelson Golf Classic in May. It's a great organization to help kids learn 9 core values for golf & life. I'll be a good golf coach for you! From Abraham R. 7/31/13

GRE

I'll be glad to work with you to help you pass the GRE. Also, my wife, Tasca did work at the Adult learning center in E TX before we relocated to Dallas, TX 7 yrs ago. Have a good day!

Microsoft Outlook

I am a current user of MS Outlook on my job with Dallas ISD. This is the software we use to check & send email for our Education memos, etc. I have used it for 2 years since we changed from Novell for our education email system. I have a good grasp on how to navigate via MS Outlook. Have a good day! Sincerely, Abraham R. 8/5/2013

Microsoft Windows

I am a certified Classroom Teacher in the Dallas ISD. I use the MS suites of various software to do my lesson plans and other paperwork as an Educator for going on 18 years of teaching. I am not a computer expert, but I have used BASIC, FORTRAN, COBOL, and general word-processing/typing before we had our Internet & Intranet of today. I hope I could benefit a student learning to use MS to navigate the web in cyberpace. Sincerely, Abraham R. 7/29/13

Public Speaking

In high school and college, I was on the speech and debate team. I have also had public speaking experience as a licensed and ordained minister and chaplain. I have taught Bible lessons and preached sermons in prison, chapels and nursing homes, as well as in churches. I have read Bible passages and helped with funerals, weddings and worship services. It is a pleasure to try to encourage people through public speaking for 37 years in the gospel ministry. God bless those who hear and receive it.

Religion

I am a licensed and ordained minister as a Christian in a protestant denomination. I have served as a chaplain for Marketplace Chaplains (Ministries) of Dallas, TX for over 11 years in east Texas before relocating to the DFW Metroplex. I did my undergraduate work at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, TX with an earned B.S. degree in General Business & Christian Ministries (5/1985). I later went to Mt Beulah Seminary in Lufkin, TX, where I earned a B.S in Theology (5/2001). I'll be glad to help your student in the study of Religion, in Christianity or any other of the World's Religions (except Satanism). Sincerely, Abraham R. Jr 7/29/13

I have tried to help students improve their educational experience and learn test taking strategies via tutoring and class lectures.
Having various techniques like using manipulatives and study guides, and the computer via the Internet, I try to make learning more engaging for students. We use peer tutoring during Advisory, after school and Saturday school & Summer School, to help the student be successful on standardized tests and in their content courses. I also let them do projects to reinforce lesson concepts in tangle ways (with drawings, glue, cut outs, markers & construction paper).
