Working with children has been the most enjoyable part of my life. I have around 8 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I have worked with students of all abilities and skills. My professional goal has always been to help students achieve their best. I have always encouraged students to look at their strengths and work on their weakness. I find profound pleasure in seeing my students succeed.
I am a Texas State Board of education certified Math and Physics(8-12), Special Education certified, Math 4-8 certified teacher. I have worked around 3 years as a classroom teacher teaching Algebra 1, TAKS Math, Math Models, Physics and Precalculus. I have tutored students for around 8 years. My students included Math 6th grade, Math 7th grade, Math 8th grade, 8th grade science and Geometry students. I have realized many students can focus better in a one-on-one setting. They can ask the exact questions about things they did not understand in the classroom.This makes sessions with me very productive. I have students whom I have tutored for around 3 years. The students and parents know that they can get their questions answered and their understanding of the subject matter made clearer whenever they have a session with me. Some students are hesitant to ask questions as soon as they face it and fail to keep up with the pace in the classroom. The personalized sessions help them get caught up, and see better grades and test scores.
I also believe that people can achieve anything they wish to if they set their minds to the job. This is the belief I share with my students.I try to remove the fear my students build towards math and science over their growing years.
This can be done with appreciation and positive re-enforcement.
