I've been a private instructor for a year but I have been a huge fan and lover of the game of basketball
for as long as I can remember. I played high school basketball in Omaha, Nebraska. Although I didn't play collegiate basketball, I played as often as I could at the recreation center at Iowa State University. During my senior year of college, I became a scout team member for the women's basketball team. From then on, I knew I wanted basketball to be more than just a hobby.
Within the last year, I've become a trainer and coach. With my brother, I coach youth teams at the Fieldhouse in Frisco. I have worked with different ages, genders and skill types; from beginners to professional athletes. This summer alone, we worked with Delonte West, formerly of the Dallas Mavericks, Quincy Acy of the Sacramento Kings & Chris Douglas-Roberts of the Charlotte Bobcats.
A typical training session with me is completely customized to the needs of my client. Sessions are either catered to developing or perfecting a particular skill set. Regardless of talent, I know I can assist a player in being the best they can be. I thoroughly enjoy assisting youth in the development of their basketball skills as well as their personal development.
A brief summary of my basketball resume is listed below. References available upon request.
I was a scout team member for Iowa State University's Women's Basketball team during the 2006-2007 season. In 2010, I became a Basketball coach & private trainer for ages 10-18. I have also assisted with team workouts for the Texas Legends (NBA Developmental League affiliate) since 2010.
In addition to providing private coaching and training, I also conduct and assist with various basketball camps & skills clinics year round. In 2011, I assisted with the coordination of an All Star Team which traveled to China. During the summer of 2012, I was an AAU Basketball coach; this team traveled to Las Vegas and played in the Adidas BIG TIME Tournament.
I am also the primary teacher of basketball fundamentals for kids ages 5-12 at LifeTime Fitness
in Allen. I would love the opportunity to help your child improve his or her basketball skills.
