I am a certified teacher (EC-4). I have had experience in the classroom as well as working with students one-on-one. I am comfortable doing group or one-on-one tutoring. I also have experience working with special needs students.
I began my teaching experience working as a classroom teacher in a kindergarten classroom. We were required to provide the students with additional tutoring services every Tuesday if they wished to attend. Upon completion of my traditional experience I was brought on as a floater. I was required to break down the students into groups based on their academic levels. I was in charge of finding the best practices and creating my own ways to help them achieve success.
I was also an in-home therapist for special needs students. I worked with children from pre-school to fifth grade. I was in charge of targeting both mental, social, and physical skills. We would work on different techniques on how to master these skills and on to new ones.
