My passion is to provide all students with or without special needs a chance to improve skills especially where they have splinter skills, which is they can only do parts of a subject/task and struggle to on the other requirements. A level foundation of subject skills gives confidence and strategies each student can use on their own and be successful. I teach in a public high school and last year was in Algebra I, II, Geometry and Applied Mathematics.
I am a certified Special Education teacher and Special Olympics coach in softball and basketball. My passion for these students is improving their communication skills and self help skills. I'm exceptional with non-verbal/limited verbal ability students and communication devices; however, I teach the family and student how to communicate with both sides using the device. I'm happy to provide my research and reasoning for this method.
I'm punctual, responsible and willing to teach in your home or community library. My photo shows me with one of my basketball teams and a youth volunteer that I trained to be a coach.
Thank you for your time in reading about my skills and passions! I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Stacy B.
