Experienced Teacher/Tutor in Spanish and Music

Dear Parents and Students,

I earned a BBA with majors in Office Administration and Spanish, completed course work at Universidad Ibero-Americana, Mexico D. F., and graduate coursework at LSU in Spanish. My music education courses were completed at Wesleyan College, Macon, GA, and UT Dallas, where I also received training in the Kodaly Method. I am certified in the State of Texas to teach All-level music, Secondary Spanish, Secondary English, Secondary English Language Arts, and Secondary Business Composite.

I have taught Spanish, English, general music, choir, private voice and piano, and music theory in different settings, including public and private schools, college, and home school. I have over twenty years of experience as teacher, tutor, and mentor of students from age four to college graduate students. I am skilled at laying the foundation of a subject and adapting my teaching to students of different age groups, learning styles, and different abilities. While I so enjoy the subjects I teach, my focus is helping the student to successfully meet his goals.

Music Theory

I was a vocal performance major at Wesleyan College in Macon, GA, and I studied Kodaly Music Education at The University of Texas at Dallas. I studied piano for eight years and then taught beginning piano and voice, which required that I teach music theory.
