Dreamweaver

I have been actively using Dreamweaver since CS4 and have a license of CS5 right now. I am a full time Web Developer and you can no doubt see my other web certifications that reflect this work. I use dreamweaver as a regular part of my business, even though I personally feel its days are numbers. It is still a handy tool as a part of the Adobe Creative Suite, for cranking out some quick code, esp since there are so many templates and existing examples available on the internet to study. This is handy for students wishing to become familiar with html, esp table based layouts. Because I handcode most of my work, I use it when I am feeling lazy.

General Computer

I am a full time IT Director where I provide computer services, training, and recommendations for purchase. Additionally, I do rebuilds, customs configuration, hardware/software installations, anti-spam, virus, malware, etc. I am expert on all things Windows going back to Windows 98.

HTML

I have been writing HTML for over 18 years and currently do a lot of HTML5 gigs professionally. I am also well versed in css and css3. This is what I do for a living full time.

Maya

I was employed by the primary Maya reseller in Hollywood CA as Sr. Applications Engineer where I worked for a 9-time Academy Award winner and chairman of the Digital Imaging Subcommittee of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. My responsibilities there were to train motion picture studios on high-end functionality of the Maya software beginning with Maya 1.0 Alpha. Lighting and Physics are my specialty. Optimizing renders is my passion.

Microsoft Outlook

I have been using Outlook for many, many years. I am a full time web developer, and Outlook is perhaps the easiest thing I could imagine tutoring! Let me help you to master Outlook and fully utilize all of its features.

Microsoft Windows

I am IT director at Hollywood Post 43 of the American Legion where I teach Windows every Thursday for other war veterans. I have been using Windows since Windows 98, and I am expert with Windows 2000, Vista, and am now in the process of mastering Windows 7.

Web Design

I have been doing website design since 1996 and presently use flash CS5, Joomla, CSS, PHP, XHTML etc to create content management systems with rich media designs.
I am presently working as IT director for Hollywood Post 43 of the American Legion.
I am sole creator and developer of their website, which includes a wide range of Joomla extensions as well as web security applications. I presently tutor general computing and web development at Post 43 every Thursday night for other war veteran members.
I have recently completed a Joomla site where I have employed a number of CSS tricks and Joomla extensions to create a promotional site for a stand-up comedian.

Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
