I am an artist who teaches and a teacher who writes. I believe creativity is messy and the biggest obstacle to it is fear. I like to help people relax and enjoy the process. Creativity is a process full of choices and adventure. Skills can be learned, creativity is caught. I recently graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas where I studied drawing and painting. I write “how to” articles of step by step guides to creating art and improving skills. I have taught art in my home, at my church and as a volunteer in public schools in California and Texas. Art is my passion.

I am a graphic designer by trade and enjoy designing in both print and web. I write “how to” articles about computer graphic programs. As a print shop graphics person I have worked with many customers to help them with their artwork and to trouble shoot their files. This includes teaching them how to use computer graphic programs correctly. Graphic design is an ever changing vocation and I consider myself a lifelong learner who loves to share what I know.

Adobe Photoshop

As a graphic designer I have used Photoshop for 10 years. I can teach the basics, intermediate and advanced levels. I am a print and web designer, so I understand the requirements for both environments. I work primarily on a PC, but also have worked on a Mac.

As an artist I use Photoshop to create mixed media pieces from scanned drawing and painting. I am interesting in experimenting in Photoshop and like the technical challenge of creating art with Photoshop.

Sewing

I learned to sew when I was about twelve. Throughout the years I have sewn clothes for myself and my kids, when it made sense. I sewed when I knew I could make something cheaper than I could buy it in a store like simple skirts, tops and shorts. For six years I had my own arts and craft business. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
