I am a semi-retired physician scientist who enjoys teaching. I have my medical degree and PhD from University of Washington, Seattle. I am a board certified in both Pediatrics and Genetics and my PhD is in Biochemistry. I never would have gone down my career path if I did not have teachers early on who had a passion for science. In order to give back some of the inspiration that I received, I am dedicated to helping encourage those who are also invested in pursuing a career in science and medicine. I tutor all different levels, ranging from middle school science and math through postgraduate board reviews.
Given my degrees, I'm also an expert test-taker and have helped prep students for a wide variety of different board exams. Most recently, I tutored an individual who had failed her physics ultrasound board exam 12 times. She passed after working with me for 5 weeks. She was bright and was very good at her job, but she was a poor test taker.
I have published both scientific research papers and clinical reports. My CV is available upon request. Many people working in science today don't receive enough mentoring to put together a publication or English is their second language. I instruct how to put together a paper for publication and help write the paper if needed. In addition, I will help you use Endnote which is a reference manager program used by many universities.
