I received my B.S. in physics from UHCL in the Fall semester of 2014, and will be beginning my Master's program studies in Summer of 2015. My specialty is of course physics, but I have also taken many mathematics classes (as well as a few in chemistry), and should be capable of assisting with many issues a student may be facing in these disciplines.
I currently have enough freedom to have an open schedule for the most part, and can be available at many different times and dates. Unfortunately, in order to avoid potential parking issues, I will generally only take appointments at easily accessible public institutions (such as a public library or coffee shop).
Please note: I will only tutor, and will not complete assignments for any student. I can assist only so far as is academically honest.
If you need help with mathematics, chemistry or physics, I would be glad to help. Just contact me to discuss a time and location, and of course notify me the specifics of what subject(s) you will be needing assistance with. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask, and I will do my best to answer them in a prompt manner. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I took a class in Ordinary Differential Equations (ODE's) in Spring of 2014, and got an A for the class. Because of this, I should be capable of assisting students in learning how to solve ODE's using a variety of methods. I still have digital copies of some of my class notes as well, and may be capable of using those to help any prospective ODE students.
I have taken Linear Algebra during my Undergraduate years, found it mostly easy, and received an A grade for the class. Because of these things, I should be capable of tutoring students taking Linear Algebra over things such as basis, eigenvalues, matrix transformations, projection of vectors onto one another, and other such subjects related to Linear Algebra.
I received my B.S. in physics in Fall 2014, and begin my Masters studies in Summer of 2015. There is a lot to know in physics, and I certainly don't know all of it, but it is my favorite subject, and the one I enjoy both teaching and learning the most.
