I am currently working on a program through Western Governor's University, studying to become a secondary math teacher. I am in my third year and I can tutor Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Calculus. I can help students learn general concepts, help them study for an upcoming test, or help them get through their homework assignments. I have had 10+ years experience studying topics in Geometry. I can work with analytic proofs, synthetic proofs, and indirect proofs. I can also help with problems of area and distance, as well as algebraic applications in Geometry. I am also skilled at working with the tools used in geometric constructions, such as the compass, the protractor, and the straight edge.

Prealgebra

I have 10+ years experience solving problems from Pre-Algebra. I am very comfortable working with basic arithmetic operations that involve whole numbers, integers, fractions, and decimals. I can also help with problems that involve proportions, percentages, and measurement systems. I am very good at solving basic statistical questions that require understanding data tables, graphs, and charts.

Discrete Math

I have 5 years experience working in topics under the umbrella of discrete mathematics. Topics in which I am knowledgeable are counting techniques (such as the fundamental counting principle), recursive functions, equivalence relations, arithmetic and geometric sequences and series, discrete and continuous representations, modeling and solving problems. I have tutored in all of these topics for middle school and high school students.
