I was born and raised in Houston, TX. I grew up with a strong interest in Math and Science, and that interest is where I excelled and has brought me to where I am today. I just graduated from medical school with an M.D., and am working on some clinical research. I have a fairly flexible schedule. My range of clients is very wide: from teaching multiplication tables to a 3rd grade student all the way to tutoring 1st year medical students in Anatomy.
I try to vary my teaching style to be specifically tailored to individual needs, but generally I approach each client the same way I approach my profession: 1) let the client speak, so I can get a clear understanding of what they do and do not understand, 2) interactively go over the fundamentals of the concepts we are covering (even have the client teach me as if I was their student; that way I can confirm they truly understand the base concepts), 3) then practice the concepts in as many different directions as possible so that the client can tackle that concept on their own in any setting. I am an extremely fun-loving guy who places an emphasis on being thorough and always has a smile on his face; and I assure you that by the end of our session, you will feel extremely satisfied with the work that we have completed, yet utterly surprised with how quickly the time flew by. Who said learning can't be fun?
Aside from studying and tutoring, I am an avid Houston Texans/Rockets/Astros fan. I fill my time with basketball leagues, going running, and attending yoga. I never miss the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and I don't know what I would do in this world without BBQ.
