I am a former professor who taught General Chemistry and Quantitative Analysis lectures and labs for 5 years. I also worked as a chemistry lab teaching assistant and tutor in graduate school. I recently have worked in a chemistry laboratory for 2-1/2 years. I love chemistry and I love math. My favorite topics include teaching stoichiometric calculations and word problems.
I feel one-on-one tutoring is best so I can determine exactly the knowledge level of the student and guide them forward from there. My tutoring style includes concept discussion with examples, having the student to describe lessons back to me in their own words, and assisting students with creating their own examples to ensure comprehension of the subject matter.
I also enjoy reading and am available to review documents for punctuation, grammar, and content.
