I have spent over 30 years in Texas public school classrooms helping students achieve their full potential in a variety of subjects. I have mainly taught high school English in grades 9-12. My specialty area was dealing with students with demonstrated weaknesses in either their writing abilities or in reading comprehension. My passing rate on state mandated tests always approached 100%.
I offer a firm grasp of literature, grammar, and writing expertise to ease a student through those difficult times when one-on-one tutoring is the best option for your child. Besides teaching English, I also taught World History, SAT Preparation, and served as an elementary and high school principal.
I hold a Texas Teacher's certificate with endorsements in English, history, physical education, mid-management, and superintendency. My undergraduate degree is from the University of Texas at Austin, and my master's degree is from the University of Texas at Pan American.
