I am a secondary math teacher with 36 years experience, and many years experiences as a tutor as well. I spent 20 years at Mckinney High School with the best teachers ever! Together we wrote curriculum for algebra and geometry, and I still have tons of learning materials.

I had the highest scores from all 3 McKinney High Schools and know how to prepare for college and TAKS.I have been trained in hands on learning as well. I presently teach Algebra 1 and 2, geometry, and college algebra at a private, special needs school in Plano.

Study Skills

I teach study skills at Great Lakes Academy. I teach outlining, main ideas, how to take good notes, learning styles, keep an interactive notebook, and make graphic organizers, along with Cornell notes, and how to develop good listening skills.

ADD/ADHD

My son is ADHD and I teach at Great Lakes Academy, a school for students with learning differences including ADHD.

Aspergers

I presently teach at Great Lakes Academy, a school where many students have Aspergers. I have spent many hours in training with Spot University, and mastering tests over this. I attended a seminar by the March of Dimes, where adults with Aspergers gave testimony of their lives, and what helps them learn.

PSAT

I am a math teacher and know the math material tested on PSAT. It covers algebra 1, geometry, and algebra 2. This is what I teach, and I passed the tests to tutor this material.

TAKS

I taught 20 years at McKinney High were my students rated the highest in the district on their TAKS scores. I also have many years experience tutoring for TAKS, and my students have been very successful.
