Nothing makes me happier after a tutoring session, than hearing my student say, "Now I've got it! It wasn't hard after all!"
My approach to teaching Math is to explain it in little bite-size chunks, that are easy to follow. These I call micro-tutorials, because they are self-contained little learning units.
I have been teaching math in one form or another all during my professional career, which has included college instruction, statistical consulting, in-company training of engineers in industrial settings and high-school student preparation for Texas TAKS testing.
I believe that I can clear up confusion and fear of math in any student who wants to understand it.
