I am a proud father. I have a lot of experience teaching my own children, my own parents, my in-laws and tutoring other children and adults for a few years now. I have been a software engineer for over 20 years.

Both math and technology come naturally to me. I would love the opportunity to share my knowledge and tricks to help you or your child understand any of these topics. There is likely a variation on these topics or subjects, which I can also help you with. Please don't hesitate to ask.

I like to first become acquainted with you and understand your learning patterns. Then I can adapt my teaching/tutoring to find a teaching method that is the most effective. I am an honest person. Ideally, I would prefer to perform the tutoring online via different software available to us. However, if it is not too far distant, I acknowledge the benefit of meeting at your home or a central location. I am flexible and willing to help in any way that I can.

Web Design

I have several years experience in web design. My experience began using HTML, javascript and ASP. Then I have evolved over the years with the development of ASP.Net, ajax, and other technologies; I have utilized Microsoft MVC and silverlight. I have experience even with Adobe Flex. All of these technologies work together. I can help train anyone in any of these technologies.

ASP.NET

I have over 5 years of experience using ASP.Net. My expertise is great at the multiple ways ASP.Net is used, whether the plain vanilla version, or whether they want to use ASP.NET MVC, etc. There are advanced topics such as http handlers and proxies, from the global.asax, master pages, or what have you. There are lots of topics to cover under this umbrella.

QuickBooks

I have used QuickBooks for my business. I have some background in accounting, so I understand what it takes to both learn accounting and then put it into practice by recording financial transactions in the appropriate places / features within QuickBooks. I also can help demonstrate which reports will be useful for planning and for just getting an overview of how their profitability is going.

Computer Programming

I have over 20 years' experience with computer programming. I also have a BS in Computer Science. I have experience in several languages, from VB, VB.Net, c, c++, c#, ASP.Net, ASP, Html, Javascript, Java, some cobol, and also mobile development.

Computer Science

I have a bachelors degree in Computer Science. I have over 20 years' experience in virtually every technology. The extensive list includes SQL Server, c, c++, vb, vb.net, ASP.net, c#, asp, asp.net, java and javascript, Android, iOS, and mobile technologies.

DOS

I have over 25 years of software engineering experience. I started my years early using DOS. I've written batch files. I've proficient at utilizing Microsoft tools and programs. I have all the commands and arguments committed to memory. Even in the current version of windows, I'm experienced at command files as well as all these commands are still viable in a command prompt/console (cmd.exe) window.

Macintosh

I am both experienced in Windows and Macintosh. Whether it's Mac Book Pro, Mac Book Air I can help people become familiar with it. I can help people transition from PC's to Mac. There are some differences that I learned and I would like the opportunity to help others over the learning curve. I understand how to use the many applications and even some advanced topics such as terminal. I will be able to make recommendations with time machine and similar topics.

Microsoft Outlook

I am very proficient at using Microsoft Outlook. I have used it for several years. I am proficient not only in email, but know all the tricks with the calendar, setting up meetings. I've also been experienced at setting up notes and tasks and reminders. I've utilized every feature with Microsoft Outlook. I am confident with training anyone to use Outlook to it's fullest capability.

Microsoft Windows

I have several years experience using Microsoft Windows. I started even with version 3.1. I know all the keyboard shortcuts, and all the tricks. I am familiar with every version of Microsoft Windows. I can help with the maintenance, the administration, or the every-day run of the mill operation. I can even help with anti-virus or any predicament a person can find themselves.

C#

I have been a software engineer for over 20 years. I have been using C# for over 10 years. I am experienced at writing C# desktop applications, using C# for silverlight applications, using C# for console applications, for ASP.Net as well. My exptensive use of this language is very helpful for developers of all experience levels. I even perform interview questions to test on this subject area when hiring candidates.
