Hello,

I have 22 years classroom experience in Texas High Schools and seven years experience running my own private math tutoring business. I am particularly interested in helping students who have failed the Exit Level TAKS Math Test and I have written a Test Booklet and filmed a DVD entitled "Ms Mack Teaches TAKS" to help students pass the Exit Level TAKS Math Test.

I understand that not everyone is good at mathematics and not everyone likes mathematics; however, everyone needs to pass mathematics to graduate high school and to get their preferred college degree. I try to make my tutoring table a very safe place to not know something. I will patiently teach and re-teach topics you need help with.

College algebra, TAKS math, all high school math classes, ACT, SAT, GED, and GRE mathematics, nursing school prep, homeschooling support, and math enrichment are all areas I am well versed in.

Algebra 1

Algebra I is the very foundation of every Math above it ... including Calculus. A strong understanding of Algebra I is very important. I have lots of practice worksheets which are "self-checking" and lots of resources to help you improve your skills.

Algebra 2

Will you use Algebra I in your future? YES!
Will you use Geometry in your future? YES!!
Well you use Algebra II in your future? Probably NOT .... unless you count passing College Algebra as using Alg. II in your future.

In Texas, everyone in College needs to pass College Algebra (unless you tested above it) .... so YES, if you plan to go to College, you need to know Algebra II.

Calculus

I would consider myself able to help with Calculus I (A/B) .... not sure about anything higher .... no one has ever asked for it!

Geometry

I spent the last 6 years of my classroom teaching career teaching regular Geometry. I know Geometry.

Precalculus

I love Pre-calculus and the students who take it. Your teachers will be pushing memorization... I prefer to teach you by helping you UNDERSTAND. My methods will stay with you a lot longer.

Trigonometry

Trigonometry is more than just SOH-CAH-TOA ... a lot more. Your teachers will help you learn Trig to pass a test ... I'll help you learn Trig so that you can recall it 5-10-15 years from now ....

SAT Math

SAT Math .... I am tutoring a lot of Asian students lately ... and their "Tiger Moms" push the SAT from Middle School on .... I have lots of practice with SAT Math practice ....

GRE

I can help in all areas of the GRE, but I am most knowledgeable with the Math section as that is my area of expertise. I have helped 3 people in the past year with the new GRE test.

GED

I can help in all topics of the GED, but I am best with the Math section, as that is my area of expertise.

ACT Math

The study guide is included when you sign up for at least 5 ACT Math Tutoring sessions. The study guide also helps with the other sections of the ACT, but my area of expertise is the Math.

TAKS

I spent 22 years as a High school Math teacher in Texas. I have taught all of the standardized Tests which Texas has given from TEAMS to TAAS to TAKS. In 2006 I wrote and published and filmed a test booklet and DVD to help students pass the Exit level TAKS Math Test. I have a very high success rate.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
