Hi! My name is Kira. I have had four years of high school teaching experience with a wide range of learner types. My students are generally "at-risk" but we have a few who come to us to graduate early. I have worked with many special education students as well as general education students. I have written the Algebra I curriculum for my school, and it has gone over extremely well. I am certified to teach 8-12 math.
In addition to my teaching experience, I tutored college students throughout college. During college I graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Honor's Scholar Bachelors in Mathematics. It took me three years of college to graduate.
As a teacher, my test scores have climbed up every year as I become an even better educator. Also my course completion rate has doubled in the past two years. My rapport with my students is what gives them success. They like me (for some reason even though I'm a stickler for the rules), so they complete lots of work for me, and they do it well.
I also am a fourth degree, master instructor in traditional ITF Taekwon-Do. I have had experience with all ages and learner types there as well. In my years as a martial arts instructor I have worked with three different Cerebral Palsy students and seen much success in them.
