I am a certified Elementary Educator with 21 years' successful experience teaching all subjects in the upper elementary grades. I have consistently assisted students in changing marginal grades into good grades by using dedication, resourcefulness, and innovation. This has resulted in a strong track record in improving TAKS scores. I have successfully worked with students on collaborative and project-based learning activities. I have always supported colleagues and administration in facilitating each child’s social and intellectual growth by creating an atmosphere of mutual respect and open communication. I communicate exceptionally well with students and parents, with a caring and diplomatic manner. I am uniquely qualified to expertly integrate technology into the curriculum when it is appropriate, leading to increased interactivity and new ways of thinking about teaching and learning. In addition, I bring creativity and innovation to solutions, and have the ability to communicate well with people. Last but certainly not least, in addition to having a Provisional Elementary 1-8 certification, I am also certified to teach ESL, Art, and Tech Applications. I hold a Bachelor of Art degree, along with a Master's in Educational Technology.
I always like to learn new things and instill a love for learning to hopefully help my students become lifelong learners, as I am.
