I was educated in British schools from Kindergarten to University. I received an MBA and then a Masters Degree in Management of Information Systems from the University of Houston, Clear Lake.

For over three years, in the Clear Lake Area and surrounding cities, I have tutored students from elementary school to college in Mathematics and English.

I have focused heavily on the SAT preparations as a matter of demand but the true value I offer all my students is the opportunity to learn concepts as opposed to just passing tests.

I teach English courses with a strong centre on linguistics and Mathematics courses by method comprehension.

ACT English

I am a well educated expert of the English language. I have prepared many students for the ACT English exams with great success. I have more than three years of tutoring experience on ACT English.

ACT Math

I have spent many years teaching students from K through 12 (and often beyond) all the basic aspects of mathematics.

In the past three to four years, I have focused greatly on ACT and SAT test preparations.

My greatest qualification, in my humble opinion, is the immense success rate of my students.

ACT Reading

As a tutor of the English language, I have prepared many students the reading section of the ACT exams.

I emphasize the method of reading between the lines as a means of building a complete picture of what a written piece states explicitly along with what may be reasonably gleaned from implications not stated.

Many of my students go on to become better readers overall after their ACT exams.

Algebra 1

I have taught all aspects of basic mathematics from arithmetic to calculus to students in grades K-12 as well as university undergraduates.

I have focussed heavily on the SAT/ACT exam preparation but often prefer to teach my students beyond the quick and dirty tactics of passing standardized tests quickly.

Mathematics is the only subject known to man for which a practiced method will always produce the same result and absolute "truths" may be found. It is, therefore, really the easiest subject to conquer if it is taught properly. I teach mathematics properly!

Algebra 2

I have taught all aspects of basic mathematics from arithmetic to calculus to students in grades K-12 as well as university undergraduates.

Anatomy

I have a bachelors degree in Human Anatomy and I have helped a good number of high-school and college students improve their general understanding of the course.

Indeed, anatomy is often viewed on an introductory level as a distinct course but I find that teaching students to appreciate how the physiology and biochemistry of the body works with its anatomy is a more useful way of teaching the course.

Business

I earned an MBA from the University of Houston, Clear Lake in May, 2009.
I graduated with a GPA of 3.89 and my lowest grade for the duration of this program was an A-.
Besides academic qualifications, I have worked full time at a service company in the capacity of one who develops strategies for expanding business (Business Development Manager).

Elementary (K-6th)

I have tutored many students from K-12 in the Clear Lake area and surrounding cities for more than three years.

Although I focus mostly on English and Mathematics, I do have a Bachelor's Degree in Anatomy and this adequately qualifies me to teach elementary-level science courses.

I have often tutored elementary, middle and high school students in the basic sciences (physics, chemistry and biology).

Elementary Math

I have tutored K-12 and sometimes Freshmen and Sophomores on mathematics for over three years.

Although I do not have a degree in mathematics, my masters degrees in Business Management and Management of Information Systems required a strong grasp of mathematics.

My methods are based on helping students appreciate that all of life involves some mathematics. And that in spite of the fact that its theories and applications are often abstract, they stem from real entities in the physical world around us.

Elementary Science

I have a Bachelor's degree in Anatomy and I have tutored many students from elementary school to college in the basic sciences: Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

I have been teaching private and group lessons in the Clear Lake area of Houston for over three years.

I am proud to declare that all my students have shown immense improvements in their scores and general performance in school. However, the true proof of my success with my students past and present is the long list of satisfied parents willing to provide references on my behalf.

English

I am educated under the rigorous British system and I developed an excellent command of the English language.

My education from elementary school to university was heavily founded on strict discipline in the proper use of grammar, lexis, structure and the entire logic behind written sentences.

I teach students how to use English with accuracy and eloquence so that they might distinguish themselves immediately by merely speaking or writing.

I also contribute often to the grammar sections of Wikipedia as a hobby.

ESL/ESOL

I am fluent in German and English. This command of two major languages has helped me understand many of the nuances involved in learning or teaching a new language.

Being a self-educated linguist, I have studied much on the similarities and differences between English and German.

I favour the direct method but I have been able to work with different students with varying strengths; therefore, I am able to be quite flexible in my general approach.

GMAT

I have trained students for the GMAT tests for about three years. I find that these tests are a somewhat more advanced, more business-geared form of the SAT and ACT.

Focusing mainly on teaching students how to understand the types of questions and the general reasoning that inspires said questions, I have been successful in helping students achieve passing scores.

As an expert writer (winning the sole-recipient Mary Ann Holton scholarship award for composition in 2008, UHCL School of Business), I also bring my strong knowledge of composition to the table for the analytical writing section.

Grammar

English grammar is one major aspect of what I teach students who are studying for English courses or those who simply wish to improve their English.

I have close to 300 pages of researched notes with which I explain the rules of grammar; it is not enough to ask a student to "just accept the rule".

I also contribute often to the grammar sections of Wikipedia as a hobby.

GRE

I have trained students for the GRE and GMAT tests for about three years. I find that these tests are a somewhat more advanced, more business-geared form of the SAT and ACT.

Microsoft Project

I have fifteen (15) years of experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Access, Word, etc. and, of course, Project) in work and educational settings.

During my MBA (from 2007 to 2009), MS Project was one of the tools I had to use extensively, and as the Business Development Manager for a corporation in 2010, I became a master at using this software.

I spend quite some time these days teaching professionals how to efficiently use Microsoft Office Programs, including MS Project.

SAT Math

As a specialist in SAT tutoring, I have been successful in preparing many students for the mathematics section of the SAT by method familiarization as well as by good old-fashioned mathematics.

I have also developed special methods for students on a tight deadline. Although I recommend planning ahead, I have been able in the past to work within tight schedules.

SAT Reading

I have prepared many students for the SAT exams in the past three years and all of my former students have passed the exams with flying colours.

Besides being an expert at English grammar, composition and comprehension, I am also a well-studied linguist.

I teach students to understand all that is written in the text as well as the unwritten but implied meanings "between the lines".

SAT Writing

SAT writing has been one of my major areas of expertise and focus for over three years. It is the one section by which a college admissions office or board might spot a distinguished student.

I teach my students to literally persuade and amaze with their compositions; it is not enough to simply express a thought.

I spend a lot of time composing fiction and contributing to academic forums because I continue to advance myself as I teach my students.

Spelling

I have three years of experience teaching English to students in grades K-12 and college.

Naturally, one cannot get very much done in English without proper spelling. I have taught students how to think about words and recall the ways English words tend to be spelled.

I employ oral and written practice exercises to bring spelling to near-perfection for most of my students.

Vocabulary

I teach students to use English vocabulary in ways that best express the intended meaning.

Synonyms often suffice in replacing one another but some words are best used in certain contexts or when a particular meaning must be conveyed.

In vocabulary training, I emphasize the actual meanings that words are intended to carry.

Web Design

I have a master's degree in Management of Information Systems (MIS). The course contents for this degree plan include, among other things, programming languages (Java, C#, C, Visual Basic, HTML, CSS, SQL, etc.), network administration, and web design.

I have also designed a number of websites for commercial clients.

Writing

I have over three years of teaching experience in writing/composition.

I am also the proud sole-recipient of the Mary Ann Holton scholarship award for composition at the University of Houston - Clear Lake, 2008-2009.

Besides helping many students improve their composition skills, I spend time writing works of fiction, contributing to linguistic forums on-line and writing articles for certain publications.
