My name is Sheila, and I am an educator and tutor, mainly in rebuilding literacy skills and basic MS Office skills. I have a doctorate degree in Education from Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA), a MA in Instructional Technology from AIU (Hoffman Estates, IL), a MA in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading from Grand Canyon University (Phoenix, AZ), and a BA in Business Administration from Baker College (Muskegon & Flint, MI).

Besides tutoring, I am a proud mother of two adult sons, (both in the military), and adopted twin 7 year-old sons, and I also have 3 grandchildren. I am a retired Army veteran, and I have also taught English Language Arts in the k-12 learning environments as well as in other subject areas; I have also taught English review, English composition 101/102, developmental English, Communications (Speech), and MS Office courses at a community college and 4-year private college.

My main goal is to assist individuals in rebuilding literacy skills, homework and test-taking techniques, and learning basic computer skills.

Reading, writing, and all areas of literacy go hand in hand, and to ensure more opportunities of improving skills and knowledge in reading, students will already be on their way to explore the many avenues of reaching/exceeding their academic goals. I have more than 30 years in the reading, writing, and other literacy areas, and I welcome the chance to be of assistance in helping.

I have been providing income tax preparation and light accounting services to individuals for over 30 years and I have a degree in business administration.
