I have two Master of Education degrees, one in curriculum and Instruction/Elementary, and another in Counseling. My teacher certification is in Pre-K to sixth grades, as well as ESL. I have enjoyed being a mom for 33 years, a tutor for two different agencies for 2 years, a private tutor for several years, a long-term substitute teacher for 11 months, a daily substitute teacher, and now a homeschool mom and teacher for 3 1/2 years. I specialize in early childhood education and early elementary reading and language arts, as well as core subjects and study skills. I believe in exposing children to high quality literature and in using a variety of teaching methods in order to address the wide variety of learning styles, levels of maturity, interests, and skill levels of students. I also believe in nurturing a true love for learning, which all children have, while assisting them to excel in their school and teacher's grade level expectations.
