Hello!
I am a certified teacher having taught sixth grade English/Language Arts and Reading as well as Social Studies for the last five years. I obtained a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education while working as a Juvenile Probation Officer. My Bachelor's Degree is in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Investigations and a minor in Corrections.
Unfortunately, in some classroom situations, there are students that end up falling through the cracks when a teacher is not able to give them the one-on-one attention they need, and the opportunity to tap in to their learning style that would allow them to be more successful. One-on-one tutoring should provide a child with their individual learning style to help them better succeed. I have been on the curriculum development team with my district for the last four of the five years I have been employed with them, and enjoy tapping into new and unique ways of engaging our children and helping them become better learners.
I would enjoy the opportunity to help students in any manner of ways to include reading, grammar, spelling, language arts, social studies, and even study skills. I am willing to help middle school mostly, but am willing to help any level from middle school and higher learn better study and organization skills and writing skills.
I look forward to hearing from you!
