Hello!
My name is Loren, and I am a 5th grade English teacher. My degree is from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL, in Biblical Studies. I started out working in church ministry, and then was offered a job teaching. I fell in love with the profession. I try hard to make teaching/tutoring fun while at the same time being effective and efficient.

My strengths are grammar, vocabulary and literature. My approach is very much hands-on. We will practice skills until we feel confident that you can conquer them on your own. I am committed and patient! I truly enjoy watching people learn and grow in confidence.

Grammar

As a 5th grade English teacher, I am teaching grammar every day. I also tutor students, proof read papers, and am creating resources that deal with grammar rules and usage. Grammar has always been a strength for me, and I have many tools to help students succeed.

I have been a 5th grade English teacher for 3 and half years. My class is divided into literature, vocabulary and grammar. Because I am teaching it every day, I am confident in my grammar, reading, and writing skills. I am also comfortable overcoming and discussing challenges a student might face in these subjects.

Elementary (K-6th)

I am currently a 5th grade English teacher in a private school. I am one month away from obtaining my standard certificate (I currently have a probationary certificate). I am in my field study, which lasts one school year. I have 3 years of teaching experience.

Bible Studies

I attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL, and received my degree in Biblical Studies. Currently, I teach at a private school where I have the opportunity to study and occasionally teach the Bible. I also teach at church and my husband is a pastor. I am a life long learner as far as the Bible is concerned, and I am passionate about teaching it. I have several resources that make studying the Bible much easier.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
