I have been involved in helping students of the musical arts understand the principles of Music Theory since 2007, my Junior year of pursuing my Bachelors of Music. I was a tutor up until my graduation, then upon entry to my masters, I received a Teaching Assistanceship and taught two sections of Music Theory while continuing to help students outside class.
Though I have never taught music history, it has been a passion of mine and I have done excellent in the past with both undergrad and graduate classes. I have a good understanding of the important events, musical developments, and people that have shaped our great body of western music.
Lastly, but by no means least, I have been a composer seeing my compositions play both by my own efforts and by the efforts of others. I continue to collaborate with others and hope to pass on my knowledge and experience in the field.
