Let me begin with a brief word of introduction. My name is Jennifer; I have been an elementary school teacher since 1997, taking a leave of absence to help care for my children while my husband served a year's tour in Iraq. I have experience in teaching many grade levels; Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First, Second and Fourth (math and science).
My philosophy of teaching is as follows:
I believe that the role of a teacher is an enormous amount of responsibility that requires an immeasurable amount of dedication.
Each student is the teacher's primary responsibility whose individual style of learning must be discovered and applied to the child.
I believe it is extremely important that the teacher and parent work together. Therefore, one must be able to answer any questions or address and concerns that the child or the child's parents may have. When the child knows there is communication between their teacher and their parent(s), they will be encouraged, work harder and succeed. Without good communication between the teacher and the parents, learning will be impeded and the student will not receive the best possible education.
