I am currently a fourth grade teacher in Irving, Texas. I have been a second grade and kindergarten teacher in the past. I have been working with children of all ages for 13 years. I believe students learn optimally in a variety of ways, at different paces, and through the utilization of varying techniques. Students are also subject to the influence of socio-economic, cultural, and developmental factors, and it is the responsibility of the educator to facilitate each student’s individual success through awareness of these variables. I am looking forward to working with students this summer to help them be successful in the classroom.

Elementary (K-6th)

I am an elementary school teacher. I have been working for IISD for 9 years. I am currently teaching 4th grade English/Language Arts. I have taught kindergarten and 2nd grade in the past. I feel confident I can tutor students individually to help them become more successful in the classroom.

Phonics

I began teaching in kindergarten 10 years ago. I have spent several years understanding phonics for early literacy. I have experience teaching beginning learning with phonics to help them achieve their goals in speech, reading and writing.

ESL/ESOL

I have a masters degree in educations with a concentration on ESL studies. I have worked with ESL students for 10 years. I understand the many challenges and rewards for learning English.

ADD/ADHD

I am a special education teacher with many years experience working with children who have been diagnosed with ADHD. I understand different techniques to help them learn to love to learn.

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
