I am a sophomore at Sam Houston, where I am a music education major with a math minor. I plan to either become a middle school band director or math teacher. I have been a tutor once before but have also helped my friends with multiple questions regarding math and music over the years. I have a great passion for both topics. I feel as if I work hard to try to get the person I'm helping to understand. I myself have been in situations were I don't understand so I try my hardest to get the topic across. As far as math is concerned, I was very proficient in high school. I took AP Calculus and Statistics and received a 5 and a 4 on the AP tests, respectively. Now that I am in college, my skills have diminished a tad but not enough to say I don't know what I'm talking about. Music on the other hand, is wonderful. I play the clarinet. It has always been my passion. When it comes to music, I see myself as a top performer and educator. I can help with ways to study music history. I can help with clarinet playing in general. I can also help with understand topics discussed in class. Really, it's whatever is needed from me.
