I hold undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Finance, as well as an MBA in Finance from the University of Houston. I have successfully instructed university courses as an adjunct professor in the areas of Accounting and Finance for 8 years, and have also tutored these subjects (as well as Math, as I have a strong Math background, having taken two courses in Calculus at the University of Houston) at the same university over the same timeframe - in fact, I won an annual university award for doing so! This experience, as well as my professional experience in the fields of Accounting and Finance, has been mutually beneficial for both the students I have tutored, as well as myself. I have tremendous patience, and continually developed methodologies to impart such knowledge. I am very excited to have this opportunity to put my knowledge and experience to work for you - you will not be disappointed, as I shall strive to exceed your expectations!
I learned to play 5-card Draw poker when I was 10 years old. I first learned the ranking of the different hands, and then the order of betting, and strategies. About 20 years ago, I learned Hold'em, 7-card Stud (regular and Hi-Low), Omaha, and Razz, and over the last 12 years have played in numerous cash and money tournament games online at Party Poker, and Poker Stars, and regular weekly home cash games. I have won in several of these tournaments and on balance in cash games, and have helped a few people learn the game along the way. Thus, I am respected by my peers with regards to this great American game!
