My enthusiasm for tutoring stems from a lifelong journey in education. As a National Achievement Finalist, magna cum laude graduate, master's degree recipient and PhD candidate, I am fully aware of the value of hard work and education. Throughout my education, I have tutored many students and served as a teaching assistant for multiple classes. I truly enjoy helping students of all ages attain their educational goals.

As a trained biologist, I specialize in the sciences from elementary school through college. I am also available to assist with math and reading comprehension when preparing for standardized tests including the ACT, SAT, and GRE. I provide fundamental skill training and practice that will ensure that students grasp the concepts, not just memorize the material. I also perform assessments before and after tutoring to measure the progress of the student.

I look forward to hearing from you and helping you reach your educational goals!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Genetics

I am a biochemist who uses genetic mouse models daily in my work. With a degree in biology and a Master's Degree in biomedical sciences, I have taken genetics courses at both the college and graduate level, passing both courses with a B average. I have both the book knowledge, but more importantly the applied knowledge of genetics that makes me an ideal genetics tutor.
