I speak several languages which in turn has led me to experience people of nearly every culture which I feel has allowed to become a well-rounded person. I'm very social and communication is second nature to me. I speak Spanish, French, and Arabic. At the moment I'm a biology and psychology major and am currently classified as a junior at The University of Houston. At the moment I have one year of paid tutoring experience with mostly high School and college students, but I have also worked middle school and elementary school students as well.

My tutoring methods are mostly based on the most recent models of encoding and retention of new data taught by cognitive psychology. What exactly does that mean? It means that each tutoring session has been structured to not only be efficient, but effective as well. I make sure the student truly learns the subject matter in which he might need help with, instead of just have them regurgitate the material when test time comes. At times I have observed that "cramming" the material is very ineffective because the student truly retains only about 10 percent of what was learned, but sometimes the testing rooms and tests themselves may cause the student to be uneasy and this in turn greatly affects recalling any of the necessary information to perform well on the aforementioned assessment.

In essence, as a tutor I will make sure that you learn the material by teaching efficient study habits, closely working with the student to find even the minute details that may be hampering your performance in a certain area, and making sure you truly know the material so that when a pop quiz, test, mid term, or final shows itself, you will succeed! I can honestly say I look forward to working with you as a tutor, and it is an utmost priority for me to see students succeed.
